In the central nervous system (CNS), neuroinflammation plays a critical role in brain injury and neurodegeneration. Increasing evidence supports the involvement of miRNAs as key regulators of neuroinflammation and researchers at the University of Edinburgh have recently published a pilot study investigating the expression of microRNAs in the CSF of dogs with CNS disease.
